More importantly I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I want to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me. I was born in Florida and moved to Shepherdsville when I was 4 years old. I have lived in KY for 33 years. I have grown up in Bullitt County Schools and take pride in knowing that I am able to teach fellow Bullitt County students. When I graduated from high school, I went to Bellarmine University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Learning Behavior Disorders. I went back to school and earned my Master’s degree in Reading from UofL in 2011. I finished my Rank I at the University of the Cumberlands in the Teacher Leader Program in the summer of 2015. This will be my 14th year as a teacher. I taught 4th/5th grade for two years at Roby Elementary. Then, I moved to LJ and have taught 2nd grade, RtI, and 1st grade. This will be my 12th year at LJ. I have two sisters, Jamie and Jessica. I also have a wonderful husband named Jeremy. We have been married for almost 13 years now and we welcomed our first child, Avery Jane, in March 2019. We love to be outside either in the pool, working in the garden, RVing, or riding our four-wheelers! I hope you are as excited as I am to start a new school year! It’s going to be awesome!
